How to get website traffic from Pinterest.
When I started krista-howard.com earlier this year, I didn’t really have a clue how to get traffic to this brand new site.
While I was not new to having a website, I was new to having a blog. Which, technically, the two are not all that different. However, I learned that how I promoted my blog would look somewhat different than how I promote my product based website.
Getting free traffic to your website
The number one priority was not just getting traffic to my site, but getting FREE traffic to my website. Especially in the first few months when I was not making much money from my blog.
I was familiar with the general concepts of Pinterest/pinning but was hungry to learn more about ways to use it to generate thousands of website hits every month. I knew using Pinterest to generate free website traffic would be my best bet.
Early April 2020, I came across Alex and Lauren’s course, Pinterest Traffic Avalanche.
Having gone through their Launch Your Blog course (and LOVING it!), it was a no brainer to sign up for their Pinterest course.
From 780 monthly website views to 8,500+ monthly website views less than three months
Before I go any further, let me show you what their course did for my website.
I purchased Pinterest Traffic Avalanche in April 2020. I used April and May to go through the course and implement their recommended strategies.
By June 2020 my website got over 5,000 views. And I was over the 8,500 mark by July 2020.
In less than 3 months, my website traffic went from 780 views per month to over 8,500 views!
ALL of my website traffic comes from what originated in Pinterest. My website has kept up with steady, predictable traffic since implementing the strategies shared by Alex and Lauren.
As a bonus, since Pinterest is more of a search engine (not a social media platform, as some mistake it for), what I generate in Pinterest has also helped Google SEO.
I even rank on page one of Google for this blog post:
You don’t need a ton of published posts before going through this course
You may be wondering if you have enough posts on your blog to justify purchasing Pinterest Traffic Avalanche.
When I purchased their course, I only had 10 published posts on my site.
As of writing this post, I have 19 published posts on this website.
This means my site continues to generate thousands of views every month with only 19 published posts.
So, no, you don’t need to have hundreds of posts to see the results from their course 🙂
Now, if you are an avid blogger who posts multiple blogs per week, this will only increase your chances of success when it comes to getting website traffic from Pinterest.
Why you need this course
If the results I shared are not enough for you to decide if this course is right for you, let me share a other few ways it helped me:
Website Time Management
Alex and Lauren recommend using Tailwind to schedule your pins and they show you exactly how they use it for their blog. Since using Tailwind to schedule my Pinterest pins, I have saved an estimated 15 hours per week — a HUGE time saver!
One of the most challenging things for me in the beginning was creating quality pins. Alex Lauren make the process super easy by showing how to use Canva to create quality pins that convert to website traffic.
Once you’re in the course, you will have access to a private support group where Alex and Lauren continue to share their expertise and answer questions. It is also a space where you can connect with other like minded people.
Alex and Lauren stay on top of the latest Pinterest updates and algorithm changes and will update their course as needed. I absolutely love this as it ensures we always have the most up to date information.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The number one reason why I love Pinterest Traffic Avalanche (and all of Alex and Lauren’s courses) is that they live and breathe this every single day.
Their teachings come from their own experiences. They started from nothing and are making six figures per MONTH from their efforts today.
The best courses I’ve ever taken are from those that are living what they are teaching and can prove their success. Alex and Lauren fit the bill!
