Hi, I’m Krista – an online educator obsessed with helping others discover their dream life and achieve financial goals through real estate investments, budget friendly home designs and simple living strategies.
Together, my husband, Cully, and I managed to payoff over $100,000 in debt, saved up enough cash to buy two adorable tiny houses, and even put some money aside for emergencies – all of this in less than five years.
How did we do it? Well, we put our skills to work, did a bunch of revenue producing home projects, found our love in mid-term rentals , and embraced living simply.
We love sharing our journey and the lessons we’ve learned along the way, hoping it’ll make things a bit easier for you. Let us lend you a hand so you don’t have to go through the same trial and error we did. If any of this strikes a chord with you, sit back and relax, you’ve found your tribe.

Where it all Began
My home remodel blog started with an unshakeable enthusiasm for design and a natural eye for detail.
Since I was a teen, I have had an affinity for interior design.
I used to get every magazine related to home décor. I would spend hours flipping through the architectural digests, admiring beautiful homes, musing on new ways to arrange my bedroom furniture, or dreaming up color schemes for my future home.
It was like each day, my passion for design grew bigger and stronger.
Whenever I felt stressed or overwhelmed, I envisioned myself working as a designer, creating comfortable and stylish home interiors.
And it allowed me to escape into my little wonderland.
Fast forward to my twenties when my husband and I purchased our first home -a 650-square-foot condo. We quickly realized just how fulfilling and therapeutic DIY home projects can be.
You could find me brewing up Pinterest projects, rearranging furniture, or even painting walls on any given day. Even though we didn’t have an enormous budget then, I’ve never let that stop me from achieving beautiful looks and aesthetics.
It was through these small projects that I discovered that interior design is my true calling.
Not only does working on your home provide a creative outlet, but it can also be a form of stress relief. After a tiring long day at work, there’s nothing better than coming home to a space you created that reflects your aesthetic sense and style.
And eventually, this lifelong interest led me to pursue my passion professionally, and since then, I have never looked back.
Who knew what started as a hobby could turn into a rewarding career?
The Birth of my Home Remodel Blog
I was dejected seeing people being hindered by budget restrictions regarding their home projects.
They would either cut back on their vision or go into debt to make their dream a reality.
My DIY home projects blog was born out of a desire to liberate people from this feeling of helplessness and show them that you can design your dream home without breaking the bank.
For me, DIY is not just about saving money; it’s about having the freedom to create something uniquely yours.

eliminate of all our debts, become financially free
and drastically improve our financial situation
See beyond our current circumstances
and visualize a better future for ourselves
Take on exciting newchallenges
and create growth-oriented opportunities
I believe it can do wonders for other aspiring DIYers too!
